Ah, now here's a serious truck. Of the four Dodge
trucks I've owned, this is by far the one I like the most. IMHO, you just can't
beat the Cummins diesel. And, if you were not aware, they did some
marvelous things with diesel engines of late... they no longer sound
like diesels, no rapping or knocking. Heck, they don't even smell
like diesels anymore. Driving this big truck is like driving a
vehicle high-performance engine; it screams - and you won't believe the
power it has when you need to pass someone at 70 mph. Apply the
gas and you're off like a bullet!
This is NOT your father's
diesel!

2500 vs. 3500?
Now there's a debate I just can't get my arms around.
When buying a truck, we're faced with all kinds of decisions... diesel
or Hemi? Long bed or short? Two door or four? etc.,
etc. However, when deciding on the towing/hauling package of 2500
vs. 3500, would someone please tell me why most people choose the 2500?
From all my research, I have learned that the only
difference between the 2500 and 3500 are two items. The 3500 has
one extra leaf in the springs, and lights on the cab's roof.
That's it! In every other aspect, they are the same truck.
When I bought my truck, there was only a couple hundred dollars between
the two vehicles, so why would anyone choose the lower capacity on a
$40,000 truck? It ain't to save money. If you have any knowledge of other differences, please
contact me at .

Towing? I believe we could tow Mt. Rushmore with
this diesel. Rushmore's safe for the time being as our towing is
mostly limited to hauling our boat to
Flathead
Lake.
